NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Rosalyn W. Fisher, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died June 27. She was 62.
Fisher was born Dec. 31, 1950, to Charles and Elizabeth (Cooke) Wheeler, Sr. in New Rochelle where she graduated the public schools and then Shaw University receiving a Master's Degree in Education. She was employed as a teacher by the Mt. Vernon Board of Education. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle.
Fisher is survived by a son, Raland Wheeler; sister, Veturia Lockhart; brothers, Dea. Roger Wheeler, Rev. Stanley Lord and Rev. Dr. Stuart Lord; nieces, nephews; and cousins.
Calling hours are Wednesday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church, 71 Lincoln Ave., New Rochelle. Funeral service at 12 p.m. at the church. Interment in Beechwoods Cemetery.
