June H. Gill, 85, Former New Rochelle Resident

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- June H. Gill, formerly of New Rochelle, died Tuesday, Jan. 5. She was 85.

Gill was born in New Rochelle and retired as a dental assistant in Damascus, Pa.

She was predeceased by her son, David Conover; her parents, Edwin and Eleanor Schauer Hilser; and siblings Edward and Vincent Hilser, Eleanor Perri, Claire McNamara and Eugenia Straehle.

Gill is survived by her husband, Raymond Gill, of Damascus; daughters Katherine Ehniger and Kathleen Armstrong and her husband Edward; grandchildren Christopher and Christen Steven, and Alexander, Andrew, Adam, and Kaitlyn Armstrong; and siblings Eugene, Richard and Peter Hilser, Ruth Klingler, Charlotte O'Neill, Carol Holze, Kathy Nuzzaro and Nancy O'Connor.

Visitation hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main St., Callicoon. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Holy Cross Church, Route 97, Callicoon, with the Rev. Charles O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Seplacher Cemetery in New Rochelle.
