NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - James W. Oswald, a New Rochelle resident, died Oct. 25. He was 70.
Oswald was born Aug. 21, 1943, in New York City, to Philip and Evelina Picard Oswald. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Airborne Division from 1962 to 1967. He worked as an electronic technician for AT&T in White Plains for 30 years, retiring in 2001.
Oswald is survived by his wife, Elsa of New Rochelle; son, James A. Oswald and his fiancée, Robyn Trippi of Valhalla; and brothers, Philip (Carol) Oswald of Hampton, Va., and Peter (Patricia) Oswald of Alpharetta, Ga. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Evelyn Ronnau.
A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
