Person Struck, Killed By Train On New Haven Line In Westchester

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A person was killed after being struck by a train at the Metro-North train station in Mount Vernon, according to News 12.

The incident at the Mount Vernon East station occurred about 7 p.m.

There was no word why the person was on the tracks, the report said.

Trains along the New Haven Line were experiencing 10-15-minute delays as a result of the police investigation, the report said.
