NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Congratulations to the Hudson Country Montessori School in New Rochelle for winning one of Main Street Connect's Better Schools Bonanza cash awards, sponsored by Entergy.
Hudson Country Montessori School was one of the schools to get 500 votes, quickly earning at least a $500 check donation that will go towards its Parent Teacher Association.
This is really very generous, said Paul Carey, the school's Director of Education.
The school plans to use the money to purchase new playground equipment for its North Avenue location, where it has a pre-school.
The promotion is far from over. Hudson Country Montessori School, and every other school in Westchester, is still in the running for the $10,000 grand prize, given to the Westchester elementary school with the most votes by midnight Friday.
