To help kick off the week of building, Habitat of Westchester will hold its annual interfaith luncheon, Theology of the Hammer, at noon Wednesday as part of the effort to collaborate, promote peace and counter religious conflict by building homes and honoring the dignity of individuals, families and communities.
Faith communities who join Habitat of Westchester are a big part of the solution to the lack of affordable housing.
“We are blessed to have all faiths from churches, synagogues, mosques and temples help us build regularly. If everyone who said they loved God helped pick up a hammer in this county, we will end poverty in our lifetime,” said Jim Killoran, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester.
