NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Joseph M. Piedmont, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle and Navy veteran, died Oct. 27. He was 86.
Born on Nov. 9, 1924 to the late Leonard and Josephine Piedmont, he served in the Navy during World War II as a submariner.
A Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Club 756 in New Rochelle, Piedmont was also a member of American Legion Post 8.
He is survived by his sons Joseph Piedmont with wife Diane, Leonard Piedmont with wife Barbara and Raymond Piedmont with wife Isabelle. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jeanette Fanese.
Visiting will be at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
