This recognition will take place during the organization’s 52nd Annual Golf Outing & Tennis Challenge at Wykagyl Country Club on Oct. 14.
This award is presented to Verni for his commitment to professional excellence and steadfast support of charitable organizations that benefit the community at large. Verni is a partner at Verco Properties LLC, a real estate investment, redevelopment and management company located in Mamaroneck. The firm owns and restores properties throughout New York City and Westchester County.
The renovation of the historic Mamaroneck Train Station is one example of the company’s projects.
He and his wife Karina, have four children, John Jr., Marielle, Paul and Charlie, Verni is a former Westchester County assistant district attorney and prominent member of the community.
The organizations he and his family support include Iona Preparatory School; New Rochelle Youth Court; WVOX Community Radio; S.T.O.P. (School Transportation Organization of Parents); Pelham Picture House; C.L.A.S.$. (Citizens Lobbying and Advocating for School $$$); Save the Armory; Save the Delancey House; Forest Heights Neighborhood Association; Holy Family CYO; New Rochelle Little League; LMC-TV; Mamaroneck Historical Society; Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee and At Home on the Sound.
