Ex-New Rochelle Electrician, Lamb Dies at 81

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - William M. Lamb, of Zephyrhills, Fla. and previously a New Rochelle electrician, died Oct. 6 at the age of 81. He will be remembered during a memorial service in New Rochelle on Oct. 20.

An active member of American Legion Post No. 8 in New Rochelle, Lamb was born on Nov. 3, 1929. He worked as an electrician for Electrical Workers 501. He then moved to Florida with his longtime companion Maureen Paduano.

Lamb is survived by Maureen, his daughters Elaine Mikurak with husband Michael of Gulfport, Fla., Deborah Guglielmo with husband Joseph of New Rochelle and Patricia Springsteen with husband Dennis of Hudson, Fla., his son Mark Lamb and wife Karen of Yardville, N.J., twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Lamb in 2009.

A private cremation will be followed by interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, Fla. A memorial mass will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in New Rochelle on Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. Condolences may be shared online at David C. Gross Funeral Home.
