Ex-New Rochelle Bus Driver, Gannecilli Dies at 82

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Frank Q. Gannecilli, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Nov. 27 at the age of 82. 

Son of the late Rocco and Josephine Gannecilli, he was born Apr. 29, 1929 in New Rochelle. He worked for many years as a bus driver and his former employers include Liberty Lines, Beechmont and First Student bus companies.

Gannecilli is survived by his wife Lizbeth, his daughters Linda Maldonado, Debra Greene, Donna Sanders and Jody Hoffman, his sons Frank Gennecilli, Jr., Nicholas Gannecilli, Randy Gannecilli and Stephen Gannecilli and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. A funeral service will take place at 8 p.m. that evening at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
