The county is offering various places for people to stay and cool off.
The New Rochelle Public Library's main branch at 1 Library Plaza will be open Saturday until 2 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. The Hugh Doyle Senior Center will also be open on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for seniors.

- Drink plenty of non-alcoholic and non-caffeinated beverages.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
- Also wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.
- Use sunscreen that rates SPF 30 or higher.
