The incidents all happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Wednesday night, Dec. 25, the village's fire department announced on Thursday, Dec. 26.
The first call came shortly after 6 p.m. when crews responded to a residential fire alarm activation on Franklin Avenue.
A short time later, crews were dispatched to Continental Village to help with a house fire. The tanker remained on the scene for over an hour, firefighters said.
While this crew was out of town, Croton firefighters were dispatched to the Metro-North Croton-Harmon Yards to address smoke in a building. Crews soon discovered a malfunctioning oil burner, which was shut off. Firefighters then used fans to vent smoke and carbon monoxide from the structure.
