New Rochelle Organizations Host 9/11 Commemorative Service

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. --  The 9/11 Commemorative Service and Candlelight Vigil, sponsored by The United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association of New Rochelle and Habitat for Humanity of Westchester, will be held Thursday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 8 Hall. 

The American Legion Post 8 Hall is at 112 North Ave., New Rochelle. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. 

The ceremony will remember those who perished in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. It will be an evening of healing through an Interfaith Prayer Service, patriotic songs and remarks from those who lost loved ones. ] This service is open to the public and there is additional free parking in the church lot across the street from the post.
