The event will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown. The panel includes New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson; White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach; Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, and Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas.
“We are very pleased and honored to have such a distinguished panel to discuss this important and timely trend that is transforming our county’s largest cities into vibrant urban centers,” said Marsha Gordon, Business Council of Westchester president and chief executive officer. “This program will explore the various development projects under way in these cities and the outlook for development in 2016 and beyond.”
Among the major projects to be discussed are LCOR’s $250 million transit-oriented residential development that recently broke ground in downtown White Plains; RXR Realty’s $197 million residential proposal on the Yonkers waterfront; RXR Realty’s redevelopment plan for downtown New Rochelle and an $85-million residential tower to begin construction soon in Mount Vernon’s Fleetwood neighborhood.
