The festival kicks off with a 4 p.m. ceremony Friday at New Rochelle City Hall and runs from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in New Rochelle and Pelham.

The weekend's events include an antique car show, a behind-the-scenes tour of world-renowned pop artist Charles Fazzino’s studio, free performances at the PAC House Theater and a celebration of African dance and drums at Lincoln Park, according to a news release from New Rochelle.

ArtsFest is organized through the New Rochelle Council on the Arts and "highlights the variety of arts and arts venues in New Rochelle and Pelham, with art exhibits, programs and family-friendly activities that spotlight the community’s rich cultural and artistic diversity," according to the release.

“New Rochelle has always embraced the arts,” said Judith Weber, President of NRCA, in the release. "And we are delighted that this year so many businesses and organizations have stepped up as sponsors. We are especially grateful to our 'Trolley Sponsors' Charles Fazzino and New Rochelle Chevrolet, and our 'Event Sponsors,' Iona College and Health Republic Insurance of New York. These businesses believe, as NRCA does, that the arts are essential to healthy communities: They bring people together and spark dialogue, which generates community spirit. And the arts can be an engine for economic growth as well.”
