New Rochelle Chamber's Annual Award Dinner Ends With Surprise

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce hosted its 13th annual Women of Excellence Award Dinner on Oct. 1.

Every year, the Chamber of Commerce awards a the Muriel Zaukus Scholarship to an outstanding high school girl. This year's scholarship went to Jhinnele Walker.

One of the other honorees, Judith Huntington, surprised everyone in the room by offering Walker a full scholarship to the College of New Rochelle, of which Huntington is president.
