Man Sentenced For 'Petty,' 'Senseless' Hempstead Murder
A North Carolina man will spend at least four decades behind bars for the murder of a Long Island coworker outside of his home over a work dispute. Ruben Diego Avila Huicab, age 33, was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison on Tuesday, Oct. 31 for the 2021 murder of Hempstead resident Ricardo Cardona, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
