Cooking Oil Thieves Nabbed On Long Island, Police Say Two Long Island men have been charged with stealing cooking oil from several restaurants. The three thefts took place in Suffolk County in May and June in Medford and Patchogue, said the Suffolk County Police. According to Suffolk County Police Gregory Smith, age 39, and Andrew DeMarco, age 38, both of Farmingville, were arrested on Monday, June 5, for stealing cooking oil from three different restaurants on five occasions. Smith drove a rented box truck and siphoned the oil into a 500-gallon container while DeMarco drove a 2023 Honda Accord to act as a lookout, police said. The…

Police Searching For Suspect Accused Of Attacking Woman On Long Island Police are asking the public for help locating and identifying a woman accused of attacking another woman on Long Island. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said the incident happened in Patchogue at about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 24. The suspect punched, bit and pulled another woman's hair on West Main Street at the corner of South Ocean Avenue, authorities said. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
