First responders came to the aid of a pair of rafters from Long Island who were trapped in a river in the Hudson Valley, authorities announced. One person has died and three others have been hospitalized after a 17-foot boat overturned in the Long Island Sound, authorities said. Teen Found Under Water After Being Swept Away By Long Island Sound Current
A teen swimming with three of his friends was rescued after being overcome by the incoming tide in the South Benson/Ash Creek area of Long Island Sound near the Bridgeport/Fairfield border.
