Duo Charged In November Murder Of Nassau Man A man on parole and a co-conspirator have been charged with murdering a 34-year-old man on Long Island. Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, officers from the Nassau County Police Department responded to Burnett Street in Hempstead, where there was a man in his 30s on the ground with gunshot wounds, police said. The man - identified two days later as Hempstead resident Jose Leonardo Sanchez - was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Duo Arrested After Police Respond To Report Of Shots Fired At Nassau Motel A man and woman were arrested after police responded to a report of shots fired at a Long Island motel. Police were dispatched to the Meadowbrook Motor Lodge, located at 440 Jericho Turnpike in Jericho, on Monday, Nov. 18 at 8:55 p.m. The report came after a male suspect who was observed in the parking lot with what appeared to be a handgun fired multiple shots in the direction of a nearby gas station, according to police.
