Republican Marc Molinaro On Track To Win In NY’s 19th District (Developing)

Republicans appeared poised to win in New York’s 19th Congressional District, with Marc Molinaro seemingly on track to defeat Democrat Josh Riley early Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive, was leading Riley by 2.2 percentage points, 51 to 49 percent, as of early Wednesday morning, Nov. 9, with more than 95 percent of the votes in.
The 19th Congressional District includes the counties of Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Schoharie, Sullivan, and Ulster, as well as portions of Broome, Dutchess, Montgomery, and Rensselaer counties.

Richard Pordon, 88, Of Northport, Air Force Vet, Great South Bay Fisherman
A United States Air Force veteran from Northport who loved fishing in the Great South Bay Richard J.P. Pordon died Tuesday, May 28 at age 88.
Pordon is being remembered as "hardworking, kind and caring" and a "stalwart steward" of planet earth "and "especially his favorite fishing waters, the Great South Bay." He was the husband of the late Wilma and father of Simone (Richard) Monahan, Richard (Mark) Pordon and Gabrielle (Robert) Glick; grandfather of "Peeps" Sachiko (Adam) Becker, Abigail, Samuel, and Emily Glick, Leo and Stella Becker.

Bethpage's Joseph Gugliano, Bank Executive, WWII Veteran, Dies
A World War II veteran and retired bank executive from Bethpage has died.
Joseph R.Giugliano died Thursday, June 6.
He lived in Bethpage for 55 years and was a volunteer at Saint Joseph's Hospital, an usher at St. Martin of Tours Church of Bethpage, and a member of both the Knights of Columbus and Catholic War Veterans.
