Man Fires Gun In Air During Dispute On Residential Long Island Street, Police Say A man was arrested after allegedly firing a handgun in the air during an overnight dispute with multiple people on Long Island, police said. Suffolk County Police officers responded to Elm Street in Huntington at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday, June 18, where there were reports of gunshots fired. According to police, the investigation into the incident determined that a man fired a gun into the air during a dispute with several people before fleeing the scene on foot.
