Second Suspect Arrested In Connection To Hempstead Shooting Of Fleeing Victim A second man has been arrested in connection to a botched shooting attempt in Hempstead that targeted a 54-year-old man. Trevor Ford, 27, and Kawand Cofield, 40, who was arrested earlier, got into a fight with the unidentified victim, 54, on May 19, about 5:40 p.m., Nassau police said. “The dispute quickly escalated after (Cofield) displayed a handgun and pointed it at the victim,” police said.  The victim then fled into a building on Terrace Avenue, police said.
