A Long Island man has been seriously injured after being struck by an SUV, according to police. Detectives with the Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad say the driver of a 2012 Nissan Rogue was heading northbound on Coates Avenue when the vehicle struck a pedestrian in the road in front of 1135 Coates Avenue in Holbrook on Monday, Nov. 4 around 6:15 p.m. The pedestrian, identified as Joseph Zuniga, 31, of Oyster Bay, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via Holbrook Ambulance for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police say. Woman Rescued After Fire Breaks Out When Car Crashes Into Shed In Nassau County
A driver who suffered from a medical condition before crashing into a shed on Long Island had to be rescued by first responders when a small fire started under the car, police said. A 2008 Honda Pilot being driven by a 29-year-old woman crashed into a shed on Nostrand Avenue in Uniondale at approximately 7:10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, Nassau County Police said. One Killed, Two Injured In Long Island Construction Crew Accident
One man was killed and two others injured in a construction crew accident on Long Island. It happened at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County Police said. Bryan Masem, 41, of the hamlet of Yaphank in Brookhaven, was driving his 2016 Chevy pickup truck southbound on Bicycle Path when he passed a construction crew that had a cable guide wire lying on the ground across the roadway near 617 North Bicycle Path, police said. Police Search For Hit-Run Driver Who Struck Teen Bicyclist In Copiague
Police are searching for the driver of a sedan who struck a teen on a bicycle and drove away in Copiague. The incident took place around 7:40 p.m., Tuesday, June 11 on Louis Street in Copiague, when a teen girl was hit, said the Suffolk County Police.
