Covid-19: Long Island Sees More Than 1,200 New Cases; Latest Breakdown By County
Long Island saw an increase of more than 1,200 COVID-19 cases, according to data released on Thursday, Nov. 26.
The positive testing rate in all focus areas under New York State's Micro-Cluster strategy is 4.90 percent, and outside the focus zone areas is 2.68 percent.
Within the focus areas, 49,195 test results were reported Wednesday, Nov. 25, yielding 2,412 positives.
In the remainder of the state, not counting these focus areas, 168,526 test results were reported, yielding 4,521 positives.

Long Island saw another uptick in the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, according to newly released data on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The positive testing rate in all focus areas under the state's Micro-Cluster strategy is 2.58 percent, and outside the focus zone areas is 1.13 percent.
Within the focus areas, 19,799 test results were reported Friday, Oct. 23, yielding 511 positives.
In the remainder of the state, not counting these focus areas, 137,141 test results were reported, yielding 1,550 positives.

Long Island saw an uptick in the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, according to newly released data on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Of a total of 83,997 test results reported on Monday, Sept. 21 to New York State, 754, or 0.89 percent, were positive.
Here are positivity testing rates for the last three days on Long Island:
Saturday, Sept. 19: 0.9 percent
Sunday, Sept. 20: 0.9 percent
Monday, Sept. 21: 1.1 percent

Long Island has seen a new uptick in both new confirmed cases and the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, according to newly released data on Friday, Sept. 11.
Of a total 89,722 test results reported on Thursday, Sept. 10 to New York State, 880, or 0.98 percent, were positive.
