Duo On Loose After Attempting To Steal ATM From Massapequa Bank, Police Say Police are searching for two men who allegedly tried to steal an ATM from a Long Island bank overnight. The two, while in a 2001 white Ford F250, drove up to the Chase Bank in Massapequa, located at 6 Carmans Road, Nassau County Police said.  They then tied the ATM to the back of the pickup truck and successfully displaced it from its original location, severely damaging it, according to police.  They were unable to remove any money from the ATM before fleeing the scene, police said.  Officers located the empty pickup truck near the intersection of Sunrise Mall and Sunrise…

Mall In Nassau County Sells For Nearly $30M, Report Says The Sunrise Mall on Sunrise Highway on Long Island sold for nearly $30 million, a fraction of what it went for when it was previously sold in 2005. Sunrise Mall Holdings LLC, a joint venture led by Manhattan real estate investment trust Urban Edge Properties, paid $29.7 million to purchase the Massapequa mall from Westfield, the company announced this week. The 1.2 million-square-foot mall previously sold for more than $140 million in 2005. The new deal also calls for upwards of $6 million in contingency consideration funds.
