Woman Faces Animal Cruelty Charge After 10 Dogs, Two Cats Removed From Amityville House A Long Island woman was arrested for the second time in two years for cruelty to animals after 10 dogs and two cats were found in horrible conditions at her home. Shannon King, 32, of Amityville, was arrested on Monday, May 20, and charged with animal cruelty, said the Suffolk County SPCA. The animals were discovered when a probation officer was performing a house check on King, who was arrested for the same thing in 2017, the SPCA said.
