A teenager was hospitalized on Long Island after being shot while being driven through a busy intersection, police said. Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a shooting that happened shortly before 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 3 in Deer Park. According to investigators, a 19-year-old passenger in a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu was shot at the intersection of Bayshore Road and Commack Road. Two teens are facing charges and a third is at large after ganging up to beat up a high school student on Long Island, police said. Suffolk County Police said that a 19-year-old student at Copiague High School was standing near the building at the corner of Dixon Avenue and Bethpage Road in Copiague - off school grounds - at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, when he was surrounded by a group of other students. A 43-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by a bullet in a drive-by shooting at a Long Island intersection, police said. Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, a person driving a 2016 Toyota Camry was traveling east on Edison Avenue in West Babylon, making a left hand turn onto Dale Street, when gunshots rang out from a different passing vehicle. Two suspects are wanted by police investigators on Long Island after allegedly stealing multiple Apple watches from a T-Mobile store.
