Hit-Run Crash: Long Island Woman, Age 42, Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle Police are searching for a suspect after a Long Island woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash. Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call regarding a body on the grass in Holtsville on the side of North Ocean Avenue, near Fish Road, at approximately 7:45 a.m. Sunday, May 21. The victim, Jennifer Bianco, age 42, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.  It was determined she was struck by a vehicle. Suspect At Large After 25-Year-Old Long Island Man Killed In Shooting A suspect is at large following the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old Long Island man. It happened around 5:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 in East Patchogue. Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct police officers responded to 555 Taylor Avenue after a 911 caller reported a possible gunshot victim outside the residence. When officers arrived, they discovered Tyrell D. Smith, of Shirley, had been shot. Police say one or more individuals entered Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church (495 North Ocean Avenue) and broke eight donation boxes on Tuesday, July 16 around 3 p.m. Approximately $100 was taken from the boxes, according to police.
