Long Island Man Dies In House Fire, Police Say Updated story: ID Released For Victim Of Fatal Long Island House Fire A Long Island man has died following a fire at his home. The blaze broke out around 9:49 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, in Hampton Bays, said Southampton Police Lt.  Susan Ralph.
