Woman Killed In Head-On Long Island Crash Police are investigating a crash that left a Long Island woman dead. It happened just before 2:10 p.m. Saturday, May 7 in Hauppauge. A 62-year-old Shirley woman was driving a 2015 Jeep westbound on Hauppauge Road when she made a left hand turn onto Terry Road and collided head-on with a 2016 Honda CR-V, Suffolk County Police said. Long Island Man Seriously Injured After Crashing Following Attempted Traffic Stop A man was seriously injured after crashing into a pole after an attempted traffic stop overnight after an attempted traffic stop on Long Island. A Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Patrol officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a 1992 Honda coupe, being driven by Ardwin Roberto Pena, age 24, of Deer Park, in the vicinity of Commerce Drive in Hauppauge at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16. Two Long Island 22-Year-Olds Seriously Injured When Motorcycle, Dirt Bike Crash Police are searching for witnesses to a crash between a motorcycle and a dirt bike that left both drivers seriously injured.  Rodolfo Sepulveda, 22, of Central Islip, was driving a 2013 Honda motorcycle on Sunday, Aug. 30 at approximately 7:45 p.m. in Brentwood when he collided with a 2007 Kawasaki dirt bike driven by Nicholas Giovanniello of Deer Park, also 22, Suffolk County Police said.  Police are still investigating the crash, which took place on Suffolk Avenue near Fulton Street. Long Island Man, 27, Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle A 27-year-old suffered critically injured after being struck by a vehicle overnight on Long Island. It happed around 10:10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in Brentwood. Elna Panphile, 54, of Brentwood, was driving a 2009 Hyundai Accent eastbound on the 200 block of 2nd Ave., when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian, Wilmer Velasquez, of Brentwood, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. Panphile was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
