Man Charged With DWI After Striking Parked Vehicle On Long Island, Police Say A 39-year-old man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a parked vehicle on Long Island.  Police responded to a report of a crash in Bridgehampton in the area of Montauk Highway and Butter Lane at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, the Southampton Town Police Department said. Responding officers found that the driver, identified as Sean Ackerman, of West Babylon, drove under the influence of alcohol and crashed into the parked vehicle, police said. Long Island Teen Nabbed For 'Tagging' More Than 35 Items With Graffiti, Police Say A 16-year-old Long Island teenager has been arrested and charged with "tagging" more than 35 items with graffiti, authorities announced. The Suffolk County teen from Flanders was arrested on Monday, July 12, after he was spotted by an officer spray painting an electric pane and a light pole near Oak Avenue in Flanders, said Southampton Police Lt. Susan Ralph. When the officer approached the teen he attempted to flee and was quickly stopped by the officer.  The juvenile resisted arrest, causing the officer to sustain a minor injury. The incident was reported to Southampton Police around 2 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 28, from a resident on Mecox Road, in Watermill, that two of his Mercedes vehicles were just taken from his driveway. Long Island Man Arrested For Thefts From Victims With Disabilities, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested following a months-long investigation into thefts from residents of a home for people with disabilities. Sean Haynes, 32, of Westhampton, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 19, following the investigation, said Southampton Police Lt. Susan Ralph. According to Ralph, Haynes, a house manager at the Independent Group Living Home, began stealing monies from several residents’ accounts depleting the victim’s bank accounts.  The investigation ended on Thursday, with Haynes turning himself into Southampton Town Police Headquarters where he was charge…
