It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Huntington Station. The woman was driving a 2002 Honda Civic eastbound on East 18th Street, near Meadowbrook Drive, when she lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and crashed into a tree, according to Suffolk County Police. The victim, identified as Stephanie Bonilla, age 18, of Huntington Station, was pronounced dead at the scene by an emergency medical technician. Suffolk County Police officers responded just after 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, in Holtsville. According to investigators, a man driving 2021 Kia lost control and drove through two fences and bushes and crashed into the porch of a house located on the 1100 block of North Ocean Avenue. The man and an adult female passenger were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. The Brookhaven Town Building Inspector responded to evaluate the structure.

One Killed In Fiery Single-Vehicle Long Island Crash A person was killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash overnight on Long Island. It happened on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at approximately 11:45 p.m. in Middle Island. A 2007 Infiniti sedan was traveling southbound on Rocky Point Road, south of Whiskey Road, when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, caught fire and became fully engulfed, Suffolk County Police said.  The Middle Island Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze. The driver, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, has not yet been identified by police and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nassau County Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash A 50-year-old Long Island man was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight. It happened around 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9 in South Farmingdale.  Gary Yander, of South Farmingdale, was traveling westbound in a 2008 Cadillac on Motor Avenue when he struck multiple fixed objects in the vicinity of Merritts Road, Nassau County Police said. He sustained multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Police Medic.  The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
