Legendary Lobster Roll, Affectionately Known As 'Lunch', Opens For Summer Season In Amagansett At nighttime you see the familiar LUNCH sign lit in white, a signal to Hamptons visitors their summer has begun and the Route 27 staple Lobster Roll Restaurant is back in business. The restaurant, now world-famous thanks in part to having episodes of the Showtime TV series "The Affair" filmed there, is located on the East End of Long Island's south fork in Amagansett.
