Emergency crews were called at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8 for a collapse at a property in Smithtown, located in the village of Head of the Harbor on Piper Lane. Person Dies After Pickup Truck Bursts Into Flames On Long Island An investigation is underway surrounding the circumstances of a person's death during a vehicle fire on Long Island overnight. Suffolk County Police officers responded to the blaze in East Setauket on Friday, Aug.18 at around 11:10 p.m. on the north shoulder, west of 445 Route 25A. The Setauket Fire Department extinguished the fire and a body was discovered inside the 2004 Dodge pickup. ID Released For Long Island Cemetery Worker Killed In Accident Police detectives investigating the death of a cemetery employee who was killed while working in a grave have released the victim's identity. Rodwin Allicock, age 42, of Coram, was at the bottom of a grave, which was more than 7 feet deep when the incident happened at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai when the grave collapsed at approximately 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, said the Suffolk County Police.
