Occupants Escape From Burning Laurel Hollow Home, Police Say The three occupants of a Long Island home were able to escape without injuries when a fire broke out. Emergency responders raced to the scene  in Laurel Hollow on The Laneat about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, the Nassau County Police Department said. When the responders arrived, the home was engulfed in flames. Sea Cliff, Roslyn, and Glenwood fire departments, along with others, dispatched more than 150 members to extinguish the blaze, according to the report. Firefighters Extinguish Blaze At North Hills House An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a Long Island home that is under construction. Emergency responders rushed to the scene of the blaze in North Hills on Cherry Wood Lane at about 4 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, according to the Nassau County Police Department. The house was unoccupied due to ongoing construction, police said. Authorities said the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department extinguished the blaze with assistance from: Port Washington Atlantic Fire Department Plandome Fire Department  Roslyn Fire Department Police said no injuries were reported.

Fire Destroys Nassau County Home, Damages Four Others A home was destroyed and four others damaged during a raging fire that caused the evacuation of neighboring homes on Long Island. The fire started around 4:20 a.m., Monday, March 15, on Evelyn Avenue, in Westbury, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, officers responded to a residential fire on Evelyn Avenue.
