Man Accused Of Setting Fire To Long Island Hotel A man has been charged with arson after police say he set fire to a Long Island hotel.  Suffolk County Police say Raymond Pond, 50, started the fire inside the Rodeway Inn in Huntington Station, located at 270 West Jericho Turnpike, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4. Second Precinct officers responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.  Several people were on the premises at the time of the fire. There were no injuries. Suffolk Man Wanted For Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct Turns Himself In A wanted man with a warrant out for his arrest showed up drunk at the Riverhead Correctional Facility to turn himself in, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Deputies arrested West Islip resident Raymond Pond, 50, on Monday, Oct. 21, when he showed up at the facility’s Deputy Booth on foot and stated: “I want to turn myself in.” According to the Sheriff’s Office, a warrant was issued for Pond’s arrest out of Amityville Village Court for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
