Two Charged In Long Island Massage Parlor Raid Two women were charged with the felony of unauthorized practice of a profession after multiple complaints were lodged about a Long Island massage parlor, according to police.  Officers raided B & B Retreat Inc., doing business as "SPALAX" on 38 E. Main St. in the village of Babylon at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 1, Suffolk County Police said. Winter Weather Advisory Expanded To Include Long Island, Queens Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded as a storm system bringing a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is causing hazardous travel conditions and has led to many delayed school starts and closures in the region. The advisories now include Long Island and Queens, where they are in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, along with southern Westchester and coastal Connecticut. North of I-287 in New York and the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut, where the temperature will struggle to rise above the freezing mark, the advisories run through 6 p.m. Tuesday. Suspect Charged In Connection To Fatal Nassau Overdose A suspect has been charged following a fatal overdose on Long Island, police say. Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives with the Nassau County Police Department arrested Damiean Landell Johnson, 25, of Queens on Tuesday, Dec. 3 around 6:30 p.m. Detectives were investigating a fatal overdose from North New Hyde Park as part of Operation Natalie, Nassau County’s War Against Opioids. Prior to his arrest, Johnson was found to be in possession of 10 bags of heroin and an additional quantity of marijuana, according to police. Woman Accused Of Writing $43K In Checks From Nassau Employer's Bank Account A 25-year-old woman is facing larceny and forgery charges after police say she wrote unauthorized checks totaling more than $43,000 from the personal bank account of her Long Island employer. Nassau County Police arrested Rashni Bissesar, 25, of Queens on Thursday, Nov. 14 around 9:45 p.m. Police say Bissesar worked as a home health aid and wrote out unauthorized checks from the employer’s personal bank account payable to herself between Dec. 2018 and June 2019.
