Ronald Bernardini, age 64, of Smithtown, was arrested following an investigation into the incident, which allegedly occurred at his office, called Lake Chiropractic, located in Ronkonkoma on Portion Road. Man, Woman Arrested For Robbing, Injuring 79-Year-Old Long Island Woman A monthslong investigation has led to the arrests of a man and woman for injuring and robbing a 79-year-old Ronkonkoma woman in May. Patrick Schlereth and Brittany Thorner robbed the woman of her purse in a parking lot, located at 318 Portion Road, in Ronkonkoma on May 26, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Suffolk County Police said. During the robbery the woman suffered injuries to her arm.
