The incident occurred around 10 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, in Peconic Bay in Riverhead. According to the Riverhead Police, the department received a 911 call from a person on the boat drifting without power. The caller said there were five people on the vessel. The department deployed a drone to locate the boat in the water, and the Dive Team was activated and responded once it was found. Dive Team members found five people on the boat, all in good health.
