Girl, 10, Headed For Ice Cream Truck Struck By Car In New Hyde Park A 10-year-old Long Island girl was seriously injured after being hit by a car as she pedaled her bike to an ice cream truck. The crash took place in New Hyde Park around 6 p.m., on Wednesday, May 11. According to detectives, a 20-year-old woman was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra northbound on N 11th Street at Park Avenue when she hit the girl who was riding her bicycle across the roadway toward an ice cream truck.  The girl was transported to North Shore LIJ Cohens Children’s Hospital for treatment of her injuries.  The driver remained on the scene.   No other injurie…
