NY Utility Companies Agree To Pay $86M In Settlements For Failed Isaias Response
The failed response by utility companies in New York during Tropical Storm Isaias is going to prove costly. Terms of settlements totaling $86.2 million have been agreed upon with the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) for alleged violations committed as the storm swept across the state. Isaias: Utility Companies Face Fines Of $137M After Investigation Into Storm Response
Utility companies in New York are facing millions in fines for their muted and unprepared response to Tropical Storm Isaias after the New York State Public Service Commission completed its months-long investigation into their responses. Con Edison, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and Central Hudson now face fines of more than $137 million in total.
