Suspects At Large After Hitting Victim With Bat In Robbery On Residential Long Island Street Police are searching for a pair of suspects who they say struck a victim with a bat during a robbery that happened in broad daylight on Christmas Day on a residential Long Island street. It happened on Friday, Dec. 25 at 3:45 p.m. in Uniondale. Woman Rescued After Fire Breaks Out When Car Crashes Into Shed In Nassau County A driver who suffered from a medical condition before crashing into a shed on Long Island had to be rescued by first responders when a small fire started under the car, police said. A 2008 Honda Pilot being driven by a 29-year-old woman crashed into a shed on Nostrand Avenue in Uniondale at approximately 7:10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, Nassau County Police said.
