Police are investigating after a person was killed in an overnight crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 7:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5 in Farmingville. A 41-year-old Mount Sinai man was driving a 2022 Mercedes-Benz northbound on North Ocean Avenue at Granny Road when he swerved to avoid hitting a pedestrian, who was running east across the roadway at the intersection against the direction of traffic control devices, Suffolk County Police said. Authorities are searching for a driver who reportedly grabbed another driver and cut a passenger's throat during a road rage incident on Long Island. It happened in Farmingville at about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Suffolk County Police Department reported. A 37-year-old Long Island man was arrested after authorities said he drove while intoxicated with his 4-year-old child in the front passenger seat. William Coelho-Marques, of Brentwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law in Farmingville on Sunday, Nov. 28, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office reported.
