In Suffolk County, Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, where there was a report of a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Route 25A in East Shoreham. Long Island Teen Killed After BMW Crashes Off Roadway, Into Tree A Long Island teen was killed after the BMW he was driving crashed off the roadway and into a tree overnight, police said. It happened on Monday, Dec.23 at approximately 10 p.m. in Rocky Point. Robert Permenter, 18, of Patchogue, was driving the 1995 BMW sedan eastbound on North Country Road, approaching the intersection of Route 25A, when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree, Suffolk County Police said.
