Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 15, in Bay Shore. A 32-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a 2016 Volkswagen sedan northbound on 5th Avenue when he attempted to turn left onto Spur Drive North and was struck on the rear passenger side of his vehicle by a man operating a southbound 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, Suffolk County Police said. Police arrested a woman who was allegedly involved in three separate vehicle crashes on Long Island before being caught. Adareo Lowry, age 32, of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24 in Suffolk County, said the Southampton Police. According to Sgt Michael Walsh of the Southampton Police, officers came upon a minor crash at the intersection of Enterprise Zone Drive and Flanders Road. A Long Island camp bus driver was arrested after she allegedly drove while intoxicated with juvenile day campers aboard the bus, and was involved in two crashes. The incident took place around 4:37 p.m., Tuesday, July 13, in Riverhead. The Riverhead Police Department said it received a call from the Baiting Hollow Scout Camp reporting a driver having a "possible altered mental status" while transporting the campers and a camp staffer. A teenage motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing into another vehicle while fleeing a speeding stop on Long Island, police said. It happened on Tuesday, April 14 at approximately 10:20 a.m. in Hauppauge. Nassau 21-Year-Old Killed When Car Crashes Into Utility Pole, Police Say
A 21-year-old Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into a utility pole overnight. It happened on Friday, March 27 at around 5:18 a.m. in North Massapequa. The victim, Anthony Cardillo, 21, of Massapequa, was traveling south on North Broadway in a Town of Oyster Bay Public Safety Vehicle when he struck the utility pole at the intersection of North Pine Street, Nassau County Police said.
