Man Nabbed For Stealing Catalytic Converter Outside Of Long Island Home, Police Say A 45-year-old man was charged after police said he stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle that was parked outside of a Long Island home. The incident happened in Shirley at about 11:50 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, the Suffolk County Police Department said. Officers responded to a report of a man stealing a catalytic converter from a neighbor's 1998 Ford truck on Decatur Avenue near Belmont Drive, police said. Duo Charged In Connection With Long Island Shooting Police have released the identities of two men charged in connection with a Long Island shooting. John Argueta, age 29, was arrested on Tuesday, June 8, and Junior Argueta, age 18, both of Brentwood, was arrested on Friday, June 10, by Suffolk County Police in connection with the shooting which took place in Mastic Beach on Thursday, June 3. On the night of the shooting, a man was hit in the leg by a gunshot outside of a home on Parkwood Drive at about 7:42 p.m., police said.
