Long Island Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By Hit-Run Driver
A Long Island woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash. It happened Monday, Feb. 10 at approximately 6:15 a.m. in Bay Shore. Mary Barbato, 74, of Bay Shore was walking on Moffitt Boulevard, near Brentwood Road, when she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Barbato was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. Detectives believe the vehicle may be a red SUV with possible front-end damage.
