Person Dies After Being Pulled From Reynolds Channel In Long Beach A person died after being pulled from the water and brought to shore on Long Island. A passerby in Long Beach observed a male in the Reynolds Channel at around 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to Nassau County Police. Police Investigate After Body Recovered From Water In Lawrence An investigation is underway after a dead body was found floating in a body of water on Long Island. The Nassau County Police Department said a 911 caller reported that a person was floating in the Broad Channel in Lawrence at 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Police said the following agencies responded to recover the body: Nassau County Police Department Nassau County Marine Bureau Nassau County Aviation Hempstead Bay Constable  Long Beach Fire Department Police did not release the identity of the person who died. Man Found Dead Floating On Water In Long Beach Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the water on Long Island. The 75-year-old man found floating in on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. on Reynolds Channel in Long Beach and the body was recovered by Nassau County Police Marine Bureau Boat Six.  The man was pronounced dead by a Long Beach Fire Department Medic at scene.  The aided had been previously reported as a Missing Person by Long Beach Police.  The identity of the man has not yet been released.
