Man Charged After Violent Syosset Home Burglary A 35-year-old man is facing numerous charges after police say he was involved in a home burglary on Long Island. Rory Watkins, 35, who Nassau County Police Department detectives say is homeless, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 19. According to detectives, Watkins was one of two male suspects who forced their way into a residence on Lincrest Street in Syosset and became involved in a physical altercation with a man inside on Monday, Sept. 2 around 11:25 p.m. Police say one of the suspects displayed a pistol and hit the victim over the head with it.
